How does the communication through the internet work (WWW)?

Communicating using an Internet browser (WWW) is one of the many interaction possibilities to access the database information's.
WWW communication is divided in 2 parts:

1) For non-registered users - this service is FREE

Non-registered users can post full entries into the database.

  • If you need to transport goods, then click on "offering a Cargo".
Fill in the form with all relevant data for your goods. If someone is available and willing to transport your goods he will contact you by phone or e-mail for example

  • If you are a shipper and have transport capacity to offer then click on "Offer Transport". Fill in the form with all relevant data for your transport route. Your data will be visible and available to all registered users. If you are more than just a one time user you will surely appreciate if the database automatically matches transport needs with your service offered so that via email or SMS you get a notice of who would fit into your offer. This is standard service for registered users. So it would be most definitely advisable to register yourself in this case.

2) For registered users

Registered users have access to all posted entries, except the private contact information of the entity that posted the entry.

If you register as a user then:

  • When posting new entries the system will remember your contact data which you don't have to retype again. This is also true for other repeating data.
  • You have full access to all entries, transport offers or offers for cargo.
  • If you are offering a cargo or your transport services you can communicate through the Internet (WWW), mobile telephone (GSM-SMS), E-MAIL and SATELLITE (satellite communication has to be activated separately, all other communication forms are immediately available)
  • You can define repeating or consecutive entries that you don't have to retype each time.
  • Your international needs are available 24/7 to ALL relevant users of truxter.com

Registered users use more effectively all possibilities of the truxter.com engine.
  • If as a registered user you have goods to transport then click on "offering a cargo". In the form fill in all relevant data concerning your goods, this is similar as for not registered users with the difference that you don't have to retype all your contact data. Repetitive information is automatically filled in for you. If a transporter is free and has capacity for your cargo then he will contact you directly by eiter Telephone or Email (for example).

If as a registered user you wish to fill up all your transport capacities, then click on "offer transport". In the form fill in all relevant data like your ideal point of departure and ideal point of unloading so as the validity (time) of your request. As a registered user your contact data and truck specifications will be automatically filled in for you.
These informations all flow into the database where they are visible to all registered users. At the same time you will receive in real time matching counteroffers. Answers will reach you in the way you predefined them at the time of registering yourself. By SMS (GSM) or Email. Alternatively you may see at the truxter.com webpage if matching answers arrived. Because of the static nature of HTML pages this web answers will not reach you in real time like with SMS..

How does the communication through mobile telephone GSM (SMS) work?

Communication through a GSM mobile telephone is done with SMS (Short Message Service) it is a unique and highly effective communication device for the truxter.com engine. It is for registered users only and specially designed for transporters. Such a user does not even need Internet access nor a computer but can nevertheless use ALL the functions of the truxter.com engine. All you need is a mobile telephone with activated SMS service. As long as you are in an area with GSM coverage you have full 24h access to all data and services. Such a user needs first to register himself stating all the data about his vehicle(s) (length's, weight capacity, etc.) After that it is easy. It is enough to send a short SMS message, coded in a simple predefined format.

Code Examples
for registered users with a predefined truck/lorry
For example, if you offer your transport services (you are looking for goods to transport) from Germany, postal code 8 to Slovakia: LD8 USK
L means "Loading" D8 means Germany postal area code 8
U means "Unloading" and SK means whole Slovakia (it is a small country after all in this example).

If for example you offer transport capacity from Budapest to middle Slovakia the code would be like this: LHB USKM
L = Loading, H = Hungary, B= Budapest
U = Unloading, SK = Slovakia, M = Middle

Please note that the international country codes are used (UK, D, F, A, SK, etc.)
Besides that the code is rather intuitive and easy to use.

The system will inform you by SMS about all relevant entries made by other parties that fit into your needs. The information will be sended to you immediately after such posts have been made and that during the whole validity time (lifespan) of your entry.
The replies (SMS messages) you will receive to your entries will contain a short description of the goods as well as telephone contact for you to immediately contact the person who posted the cargo offer.

How does email communication work?

E-mail communication is also the backbone of satellite communication. It is for registered users only.
When defining your contact data you can also define that all relevant entries be send to you by e-mail.
The e-mail communication with the truxter.com engine is similar to SMS communication. Just instead of an SMS you send an email The same codes are used.

How does satellite communication work (ORBCOMM®)?

Satellite communication is global and highly effective, whereas the startup costs and also the monthly usage fees are low. Since this cover the whole globe this is especially interesting for transporters who have to travel in zones with no or weak GSM coverage. This service is only available to registered users who also have an Orbcomm® account and communication devices from Orbcomm®. No further hardware is required (no satellite dish for example) and this service can be used parallel to e-mail and SMS communications.

You will have to become a client of Orbcomm®.
We are currently also preparing other forms of satellite communications for transporters.
The actual communication is easy, in essence it is a e-mail send through a Orbcomm® terminal.
Replies are send via e-mail to the same terminal you send the request from.
